Thank you for your interest in this sale.  We have “dug deep” to bring you the best of our best.  As you view the offering, you will see some diversity in the type of lots offered which should provide something for everyone.

The following sale terms apply to this phone bid-off sale:

  1. All cattle in this sale are deemed sound and fit by the seller’s eye.  Cattle are sold “AS IS” with no expressed warranty or guarantees.  
  2. The Phone Bid-Off will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, February 23, 2025.  All initial bids are due by 9:00 a.m. on sale day. The calf with the highest bid will be the first bid off, 2nd highest bid will be next and so forth.  We are hoping to have the phone bid off completed by the end of the day on Sunday, but please be advised it could take longer than one day to complete the bid-off of every animal in the sale. SELLER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO END BIDDING AT ANY TIME.
  3. All calves will start at $1800 (so first bid will be $1900); bids will go in $100 increments to $2000, then $250 increments until the calf is sold. All bidders’ names are kept confidential during the bidding process; bidders may roll down to other calves not sold at any time.
  4. Once a bid is made and confirmed, it cannot be retracted.  Once a bidder places a bid, and if the bid is the high/winning bid, the bidder is obligated to purchase the lot at the bid price.  Any winning bidder who refuses to pay for a lot may be banned from all future auctions and other needed legal actions will be taken.  Calves deemed sold become the responsibility of the buyer in regards to risk of damage, death or injury.
  5. Placing a high/winning bid is a binding contract between the bidder and the owner/seller of the animal.
  6. An invoice with payment instructions will be sent to buyer within 24 hours thru text message from 210-365-4844 (Patsy Kotzur) or 210-275-0265 (Vicki Ussery).  Checks should be made to the Seller (consignor) of the animal.  If you do not receive an invoice via your email in 24 hours after the close of the auction, please contact Hank Kotzur at 210-884-6254 or any consignor. 
  7. It will be the buyer’s responsibility to contact the seller to arrange pick-up which should occur within 7 days of the sale unless otherwise negotiated with the seller.  It is expected that any animals not picked up within 7 days after the sale without pre-arrangement with the seller will be charged $10 per day for yardage until pick up is made. Please give us a 48 hour notice when coming to pick up cattle, especially if you request a health certificate.
  8. Animal may not be picked up until the seller has a secure form of payment in hand for the animal.
  9. Hauling may be arranged at the buyer’s expense, unless prior arrangements have been made with the seller.  Any questions regarding delivery of the animal should be directed to the seller. Possible Hauler: Jeff Earle: 210-241-3275
  10. All persons attending the viewing and/or picking up animals at do so at their own risk; HK Farms owners, consignors, consignors’ families, workers, etc., will not assume liability, legal or otherwise for the safety of the premises or behavior of the animals.
  11. All bidders must be at least 18 years of age.
